Description | Broughton Minerals Pty Ltd, a Brisbane based junior exploration company was granted Exploration Permit for Minerals (EPM) 16209 totaling 19 sub blocks on 27th March 2008 for a period of 3 years. This EPM was given the project name of Broughton Creek. The tenement is located ~ 80 kms southeast of Mount Isa and 60 kms south of Cloncurry in Northwest Queensland and was selected for its potential to host large tonnage, Ernest Henry style copper/gold deposits as well as smaller, Tick Hill style gold only orebodies. In the reporting period ending 26th March 2019, Broughton Minerals Pty Ltd further developed its targeting and regional structural synthesis model over the tenement building on data acquired during the previous reporting periods. A renewal for the tenement was also lodged and as a condition, a partial relinquishment had to be made of 7 sub blocks. This was completed on 25th March 2019. |
